I want to make meatloaf for dinner. I justtook the hamburger meat out of the freezer and its sitting out. Is there any way to have it thawed before 2-3? (its 12 here) besides microwaving it?

  • fill up the kitchen sink with HOT water, put the meat in there and to keep it from floating too much, put a plate on top of it :)

  • you can put luke arm water in the sink and put the meat in it (make sure meat is in a sealed bag.

  • DO NOT use hot water, it will start cooking the meat and making bacteria multiply. Let COLD water run on the closed plastic package and the meat should defrost in about 20 minutes, do NOT ever use hot water unless you want to experience food poisioning.

  • you may use hot water but it's NOT a safe practice...if restaurants did that they would be in a health violation and ticketed or even shut down....the hot water promotes bacteria growth at a fast rate!
