What does 9/8 central mean?

8 O'clock central time? So what time zone is the 9?
And more importantly, how do I know what time that is in MY timezone?
I can't miss tonight's Jon and Kate Plus 8, because of my ignorance on the subject!!!

  • Yes it would be 7 mountain time. It would be 6 Pacific time. The hours decrease the further West you go.

    6pm= pacific
    7pm= moutain
    8pm= central
    9pm= eastern

  • 8 central time. 9 would be whatever time zone is to the east of the central time zone. I have no idea which one that is. California, it would start at 6 pm.

  • Well, 9 would be the East coast. There are 4 time zones. Since you are where they say, 9/8 central, then if you are not in the last 1/4 of the US, then you might be the 8 o'clock. Like right now, the East coast is 12:19, I am in Central, so, my time is 11:19. The fouth that is closer to the west, is 10:19 and the first fourth of the US is 9:19.

  • I am on the east coast, and we always hear 9/8 central. It means that it comes on at 9 our time, but in case viewers in the central time zone also get the broadcast, that it would be 8 their time.
