  • I don't think you're alone. My husband's hours were cut, but we actually used that to our benefit. We got a tighter grip on our budget, we cut our expenses, we started paying off debt and using cash instead of credit cards.

I imagine it's completely different when you don't have a job though. Have you read 48 days to the work you love?

Anyway, I hope things get better for you soon.

  • How are you conducting your job search? Looking for a job truly is a full time job. Are you attending networkin events? Have you perfected your elevator speech? Less than half of the available jobs are posted on the job boards; what are you doing to find the unposted ones?

  • It is hard, for everyone these days. I am sorry that you are one that got hit hard with the economy... may I suggest an at home biz which may help you get out of the slump? It is with a comp that just recently won an award with the BBB so it is no scam. • I think I get more stressed about money than my fiance. He has been unemployed for over a year now and even though he had a great severance package and still has money to support us, I found myself depressed. I couldn't find a job, was pregnant, and stressing. Now I work from home and a business associate of his is trying to get him into CDW (it's one of the best companies in the US to work)
Anyways, just know that everything will come together for you. You're welcome to read my blog which has some facts about unemployment, info about what I went through, and tips about working at home with kids.

  • I feel the stress, but I had no problems finding a job, even after being a stay at home mom 3 years.

  • I haven't been impacted yet but I do think about it. So far my husbands job is going well and my home business is also doing well. I wish you all the best.
