they did it!

they delivered my baby by emergency c section at 30 weeks as he was too small !! i know people say prem babies stay in untill they are full term i was just wondereing whether you had any experiences of getting them out faster

he was on ful breathing support for a day on his c pap for around 2 he was moved to HDU from intensive care but only stayed there 3 hours before he was moved again to special care so he's doing brilliant i was told at jessops that he's been in 2 weeks today and could be aloud home with a week to 2 weeks but ive been ttransferred back to my home town and they are now saying that ive got to stay there untill 37 weeks

he's breast feeding twice a day keeping him temp and doesnt need any help breathing how long can i expect this to carry on for also im a bit funny about asking questions here as the nurses are very picky

  • No one will be able to give you a definite answer to that question. However, you do need to not be timid about what they are doing to/with him. Who the hell cares if the nurses are too picky? If they are nasty, report their asses! Be proactive in what is going on!! DEMAND to have some sort of answer to your questions...and question everything!

Yes...he will probably be in there until he is 37 weeks (gestation). Plan on him staying until he's 40 weeks (your due date) and then when they tell you he can come home sooner it will be all that much more wonderful!!
