Pedialyte and digestion

my 2 month old daughters peditrician said i coould give her some pedialyte to help keep her hydrated because shes been sick with pneumonia and i gave her the grape kind and when i changed her and i could see some purple in her diaper is that normal?

  • yes it's normal to have some bright colored poop after pedialyte... (I'm a peds nurse) I've seen blue, purple and neon green from pedialyte!
    When I have gotten pedialyte for my son I did the apple singles... they don't cause the bright colored poops and the singles are nice because you don't end up throwing away as much. (I just open a bottle and pour into a larger bottle and use it kind of like a pitcher)
