Self weaning or ...?

My 9 month old son had a stuffy/runny nose for a week and found it difficult to nurse as a result. Now that his nose is clearing up, he still seems very fussy about nursing; almost disinterested. He had previously been nursing 4x a day. Could this be self-weaning or just an attention span issue?

  • It's just leftover from his stuffy nose. It's extremely rare for a baby to self wean before the age of 18 months, let alone 12 so I wouldn't worry about that. :)

  • Is he teething? Sometimes they might not want to when they are in pain. I would wait until he is hungry enough to eat I guess.

  • It's not self-weaning. It's just his attention span.
