nail polish

dose anyone know how to get nail polish out of clothing ?.i already tried the remover and it don't work ,thanks for any suggestions

  • Pick up water repellent that you spray on boots. Apply it to the clothing. Let it sit for 5 or 6 minutes and then wash in cold water. Hope this helps!!!

  • There is a natural product called SolUMel that is a wonderful solvent and removes nail polish even from a wooden table without damaging the wood. Not sure if it is a set in stain or not. e-mail me if you want to know more at

  • ok last replies right lol it wont come out i guess that's the price you pay for painting a 2yr olds nails in a new dress ..she opened the bottle darn strong little girl oh well she will still ware the dress im not gonna let a few drops of nail polish ruin that ..thanks for all yr suggestions though.

  • Thats a tough one and it does depend on what type of fabric it is. Try letting it dry (which I'm sure it already is lol) then putting ice on it. Once the area is frozen sometimes you can pick it out of the fabric. I've done this several times on cotton and denim. It doesn't work so well on silk though! Good luck.
