  • I just made this one yesterday and can't keep anyone OUT OF IT! Even the dogs enjoy it (they got to lick the pan).

    Lentil Soup

    3/4 cup sliced carrots

    1/2 cup chopped onion

    1/2 tsp. minced garlic

    3 cups water

1 14 - 16 oz can tomatoes (stewed or diced)

1 4 oz. can mushroom stems & pieces

    3/4 c. uncooked dried lentils

    1/2 c. sliced celery

    2 Tbsp. dried parsley flakes

    2 tsp. salt

    1 tsp. instant beef boullion

1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce (this MAKES the soup!)

    1/4 tsp. pepper

1 lb. browned ground beef (optional)

Mix all ingredients in 3 quart saucepan, bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer until lentils are tender.
