Should we be worried about N Korea and their threats of Missile attacks?

We are not a military family, I am not big on politics, I don't always stay up on current events but this particular topic has really caught my attention.

  • I am. Mostly I'm worried that they'll take action first and we'll be on our side bleeding trying to fight back. I don't want to add another war to our list here, but it sounds to me like N Korea is hell bent on starting one. I don't think their missiles are as powerful or accurate as they are claiming though. At least I hope they're not.

  • Or it's small communist country trying to assert its power. Nevermind the power isn't real... they're asserting it.

  • I'm not terribly worried yet. N Korea has done all sorts of stuff like this in the last several years. It almost seems like a way to get attention focused on them when we are focused elsewhere.

I've said this many times before... but they are giving out command sponorships like crazy to military families in S Korea. That means that the family is allowed to accompany the servicemember and live in S Korea. When they stop doing that and start sending the families home, then I'll worry.

  • I think they are a threat they almost have the capability to hit Hawaii with a missle now they could have the technology to hit other parts of the US who knows? I do think we are going to have to deal with them at some point. Their leader is not getting any less crazy. I don't think right now we should do anything but we should be on alert and not dismiss anything. I hope those in command do know what they are doing. I will admit with Obama I do feel a bit less safe. He has no experience on these matters at all. I hope he has good people advising him.

  • I'm still not sure why other countries like the US and the Russia were able to do whatever they want. Develop Nukes, and even use them on other countries. But now that some other country wants to have Nukes it's not okay?

Seems a little hypocritical, if you ask me.

  • Worrying about it won't change anything.

  • not sure but i think we may have to be more worried about Iran bombing the hell out of us?!?!? well, between the two, who knows...why worry, just love one another!(while we can)

  • I'm not worried about bein gbombed yet but they will get the capability and then people who poo poo this will be sideswiped. NOt only that but they (or Iran) could sell the technology to any country or group who hates us and we could soon be in the crosshairs of disaster.
