  • At three they are like a sponge, the learn so much so fast. We are working on letters, numbers, name writing, what our address is, you name it.

  • Try this website:

In addition to the ABC's and 123's, you can have weekly themes - what do firemen do? how does a plant grow? where does our food come from? what do bugs eat? Many things they won't entirely "get" but it all sort of sinks in.
    And don't forget the basics:
How to stir the cookie dough. How to zip a zipper. How to clean a mirror. How to sort clothes for the laundry. One day they will have to cook their own food, clean their own house, fully dress themselves. Those lessons should start now while they still WANT to learn them.

  • I agree with salexander- letters, numbers, recognizing and printing, plus name, saying parents' names and address. Time. colors, shapes, concepts such as near and far, etc. How about handing them an assortment of objects and asking them to tell a story about them. How about books about animals - animals A to Z is fun. Or dinosaurs, my sons loved those. There are learning toys where they put the various parts together and throw the little switch and see how things move. Simple adding, perhaps- using blocks or beans. Cooking- there are childrens' cook books.
