Do you get bleeding in between periods when starting menopause?

  • You can, yes. Irregular periods, which includes bleeding in the middle of the month, is a sign of peri-menopause.
    Be sure to talk to your doctor about it. And when you do, be sure to call it peri-menopause. I've found that if you ask about just plain menopause, the doctor will just blow it off and tell you that you are too young for menopause. But if you ask about PERI-menopause - all of the fun symptoms in the years before your cycle finally stops - the doctor is more open to talking about it.
