Ask your school to do it. There are numerous websites that would promise to do this, but only a true one-on-one with a person will give you an accurate read. For a quick and easy-go to the library-get a book, find the grade level (usually listed in the library computer) have them read a page fluently... more than 5 mistakes on a passage and its too hard... ask a question about what is happening in the story. There is what they can read and what they can comprehend. One is their instructional level, the other is their independent level. Again, your school or if you homeschool, your homeschool coordinator, should be able to do testing for you.
