I'm so frustrated with my late period... any suggestions?

ok I had what I thought was pregnancy symptoms right when my period was going to start, I waited until I was a little late and I got a negative, the same symptoms persisted and then I some of them increased (particularly tender breasts increased) two more negative test. The last one I took was last week I'm about 3 weeks late. I saw my ob today and he doesn't think I'm pregnant (we have been using protection to prevent pregnancy), and didn't take any test, but mentioned a blood test which I declined because my insurance is ending on saturday. So, if my period doesn't start soon when should I take another test? (btw I'm breastfeeding and recently had a miscarriage but had 2 regular periods since the miscarraige).

  • I'm breastfeeding and have been having the same issues. Im pretty sure its normal. I got mine back when my son turned 4 mths and have a period like every other month, its odd but it could be the same for you.

  • your body can be getting thrown off by the miscarriage and breastfeeding... ALSO breastfeeding can produce HcG hormone ( not enough to be detected by test) that goes to your brain and says to your brain your pregnant... which will delay your period. but your really not pregnant...
