Is it safe to take a 6-month-old to see/hear fireworks?

I'll bring earmuffs/plugs just in case, but if you know of any studies/research done on this, or if you'd like to give your own experience, please do!

  • It is just as safe for them as anyone else. Although if they are not used to loud noises it may scare them a little. My kids when they were this age fell asleep during the fireworks.

  • they don't like it! they don't like airshows with the loud planes either. Earmuffs are a nice idea, but have you ever noticed that really loud noise makes your chest rattle? Of course it depends how close to the action you are and howloud it is.
