  • I don't know about your area, but I know the Goodwill does in my area. If you live in Texas you can dial 211 from a land line phone & they can help.

  • You could also watch Walmart, every year, about 4 or 5 weeks before school starts, notebook paper goes to .25, pens .10 crayons, .15, etc. I've bought so much in the last 4 years that I won't have to buy much this year, but I only spend about $10 a year anyway, and that covers my kids and I occasionally send extra paper or crayons to the class.   • Wal-mart,rite-aide,always have 10cents sales,and some churches give out supplies.

  • Try the salvation army. I know here they work with the Catholic church to give out free school supplies. It is always in the paper when they are doing it. Also check the churches.

  • I know in downtown La, they give out school supplies,backpacks,socks,shoes,.They give out all brand name shoes like nike anways people camp out over night because they have like more than three kids.Noone is turned away.
