I babysit for 6 and 8 year old step-sisters who fight all day over everything! Any ideas on how to get them to chill out?

  • Keep them BUSY. If they are focused on something to do, it might tone it down. Kids fight more when they are bored.  http://www.cjkidz.com/Summerfun.html  Check out the link for ideas of stuff for them to do.

  • put them in separate rooms, i have 4 younger siblings, the closest in age is my sister exactly 2 yrs younger than me. when we fought over stupid stuff we got sent either to the same room and were not allowed to come out til we could make up and actually play together w/o fighting (so no fake make ups and even if they were fake we would come out and have to play together nicely so we ended up getting along anyways). and if that didn't work we were in separate rooms for the rest of the day.
