Is it fair that Obama thinks that rich people like him deserve better health care than the rest of us?

I don't disagree that every person would want the absolute best level of care for their families, so why is it so hard for liberals like Obama to understand that the rest of us want the same thing and we don't feel a government-managed plan will give us that?

To those who think the government plan is going to be an OPTION, why is it so hard for you to understand that given the choice between paying millions of dollars for their employees health care, or dumping their private plan and forcing employees to go on the government plan, that a lot of companies are going to choose to save a buck (because that's what companies do!), and employees won't have a choice!

  • Bureaucratic Hypocrisy at it's finest. Obama said in his infomercial. He would want the best possible care for his family, then he moved away from ACTUALLY answering when asked if HE would use this new program. WTF is is about him answering questions like HE IS A DOCTOR. For example: OBAMA:.... here's the problem that we have in our current health care system, is that there is a whole bunch of care that's being provided that every study, every bit of evidence that we have indicates may not be making us healthier. GIBSON: But you don't know what that test is. OBAMA: Well, oftentimes we do, though. There are going to be situations where there are going to be disagreements among experts, but often times we do know what makes sense and what doesn't.

Who the F**K made Obama a Medical Expert?

  • Because they see the word FREE (which is exactly what it would NOT be) and can't think beyond that.

  • Lets try to see multiple sides of this-
Firstly, a gov't health plan will give an option to those who cannot now afford insurance. We are talking about MILLIONS of people here. I love how the people who are against a nationalized health plan already HAVE insurance.
Secondly, the gov't plan will impose some competition on the private insurance companies for a change. If they want to stay in business, they will HAVE to get competitive and stop robbing individuals and companies blind. They will also have to stop their foul ethics and start to give a crap about the people that line their pockets.
Everyone is so worried about the gov't controlling this and that, when the gov't already controls many of our core processes. Why can't people see that this is not a NEW idea? And that we are the ONLY western civilized country with no form of nationalized health care? Pathetic.

SO THE GOVERNMENT is going to DECIDE what makes sense and what doesn't? Shouldn't that be between the DOCTOR and the PATIENT to decide????  Why does the Government and Bureaucratic Hypocrites be allowed to decide what makes sense, when they aren't even going to partake in the program??? By Obama continuously stating "WE", he is assuming decision making authority in other people's CARE.. WTF is that about?

And, yet countries that have "enjoyed" socialism and national health care programs are ABANDONING the concept in FAVOR of capitalism and privatization of health care....wonder why that is?!

Answer...because capitalism creates jobs which leads to income, which leads to prosperity and growth of people and their nation!

Do you really think the GREATEST country in this world happened by "luck of the draw?!"

Do you really think capitalism didn't play a role in our country's successes and make us a superpower?

Do you really think this IMPROVES things?!

Taking from the "more fortunate" and giving to the "less fortunate" should not be a government mandated thing...it should be up to an individual's own discretion! As with all choices in life...you make your bed...you lay in it!

If he gets his agenda passed those of you with disabilities need to line up behind the elderly you will eventually not get the care you would need or deserve. Many things that are considered a necessity now would become elective. If you are over 50 forget about getting an organ transplant you will have to simply accept your fate. Obama and his wealthy friends will still have excellent health care. The Congress have a great health care package as well. This is about controlling the people and power for him and his friends. If anyone thinks Obama actually cares about them they are dead wrong. Sadly they may literally be dead wrong.

  • How about this Anon 9:15
They say it will be affordable for those who don't have ins. No proof there and there is no going back. They plan to make it mandatory so those millions who don't want to pay for it will have to. There has been no talk about not covering illegals and 88% of Americans don't want it if it covers illegals.
Most likely there will be taxes on the most expensive plans which they assume only rich people have. Not true. Companies have good plans and do not pay huge saleries. Companies forced to offer coverage will cause lay offs and possibly closedowns or moves out of the US. The government plan will be cheaper because you will get fewer benefits and restricted care but thats not something they tell you. Many will take it instead of the company plan because of cost or the company will stop offering much ins and people will take the Govt option. Goodbye private insurance and more jobs lost too.
