NAME DILLEMMA

why are all the names i pick for my soon to be daughter so popular! its frustrating because i dont want a common name i like unique and different names and it seems everyone is naming their children the names i want grrrr lol i dont want my daughter to have the same name as 5 other girls in her preschool class! can someone give me some ideas on less common girl names?

  • I had this same thought did not want a popular name at all however, I have always liked the name Lilly which when I was younger was no popular so out pops my little girl I name her Lilly & what do u know its now on the to 5 list of most popular names grrrrr.....

  • I know what you mean by not wanting popular names. With my first I didn't even think about it and named her Kaitlyn Nicole. Whoa! When I took her in for her 3 month shot's there we're 2 other babies named Kaitlyn Nicole and they were all 3 months old! I think everyone these days know's atleast a few Kaitlyns.
    Unique name.....................

  • My oldest daughters name is Janika, pronounce Ja-neka. To this day, at least around were we live, there is no one else with that name.

  • actually zoey is getting more and more popular. and funny enough but I have a crab named trevona lol. our daughters name is Cadence or I've seen Kaydence for a spelling. Or Skyler Ann hmmm thats all I got lol. sorry I'm not very good at this.

  • A lot of the older names like from the 40s and 50s dont get used very much from knowledge try looking up older names oh and dont name her Lexia or something on that order there ar atleast 50 kids if not more in my area alone i know with that name.
