clearing military housing, nail holes

when you cleared militray housing......did you have to fill in the nail holes yourself or did they prefer you left them and they do it so you dont do it wrong? did you have to pay for it

  • We didn't have to fill the nail holes since we had lived there for 3 years and it was time for them to put a fresh coat of paint on the walls. I guess it is really going to depend on which post/base you are at but I would call housing to make sure.

  • they are renovating most of these houses so i think its nonsense we have to do anything...its gonna be redone anyways but ehh

  • Call your housing office to be sure. One base we were required to spackle, two others we were directed absolutely do NOT spackle. So check. The only thing s you have to pay for is damage. We quit cleaning ourselves. We got to where we just contracted. Cleared every time the first time after that. It's like as soon as the inspector learns it's a contract clean.Boom you're passed. At least that was our experience.

  • We had to repair everything. If it something wasn't repaired or needed replaced, it came out of our pocket!
