how low is TOO low?

today i was at my prenatal appointment & the doctor listened to the heartbeat for a long time, until finally telling me that the heartbeat was 129. I always thought that the heartbeat was a lot higher while in the womb, especially since (though mine is on the high side) mine is usually 95-105...which seems really close to baby's! is it too low or am i just paranoid?? btw, i am 22 weeks as of tomorrow...

  • If your doc didn't say anything than I would assume she isn't too concerned about it. I doubt she wouldn't say something if she thought there was a problem. I am 34 weeks pregnant and my baby boy's has been at least 150 since day 1 so I'm not really sure how "normal" 129 is, but if your doc isn't worried than you shouldn't be either.

  • I think if it was too low the dr would have said something. I've heard of babies having a heartbeat of 129 but don't really know much more about it.

  • Didn't say anything other than what it was, but didn't seem too happy about it either. She was also more concerned with my BP so she is transferring me to another doctor...I wont see the new doctor for another 2weeks though...

  • also adding that my dd's heartrate was between 132-142 while I was pregnant. She came out without complications due to her heartrate. She was just stubborn and never went head down.

maybe she just wants to get another opinion?
