Wasp Hive Part 2.

How much spray needs to hit the hive to do it's job and do we knock the hive down after wards?

  • Be sure you get that long distance spray. Yes, once the wasps (or hornets?) are dead, knock down the nest. Follow the directions on the can for amount.

  • We had an unbelievably HUGE nest last October. The wasps were big, dh was worried one of the wasps was going to pick one of the kids up and carry them away. We waited until a cool spring morning and used Ortho Max wasp and hornet killer (it sprays foam from 20 feet away) and sprayed the nest really well. The Ortho Max was the best stuff we found, we tried some other before that. Ortho killed pretty much within a few seconds, some others took a couple of minutes.
    I would say wait until the coolest part of the day/night and then attack.
