Contractions

i am 35 weeks along and i am haveing contractions that hurt they started at 10:28, then 10:34 , 10:40, 10:45 , 10:53 10:56 , 10:59 , 11:02 11:07 , 11:10 , 11:14 11:19 i am wondering if i am ready or what would you do i called my doc already today when my mucus plug came out so if this is normal i dont want to bother him so late he told me the mucus plug was nothing to worry about what should i do

  • go to the L&D more then 4 an hour then you go.

  • HMMM>. where did you hear more than 4.. that is reasonable.. I live 30 minutes from the hospital I am going to deliver in and they told me that I had to have them 3-5 minutes apart for 1-2 hours.. and I just think that is realllly unreasonable.. considering I am already dilated to 4 and 100% effaced! I will have to keep that one in mind.. LOL Thanks!

  • Is this your first baby? Alot of times you will lose your mucous plug a few weeks before you deliver after your first baby. First, time the legnth of contractions, if they last 30-45 seconds they are more likely to be causing dilation,rather than the ones that last for 1 1/2 to 2 min. Those are more likely braxton hicks. Also, try walking around during contractions. If contractions get worse during walking, instead of calming down during walking, then its more likely to be real labor also.
