My daughter keeps scratching the back of her head...

She will just itch it like crazy and I dont know why because I dont see anything. What do you think it is and how should I help her?

  • Could be cradle cap which means a little extra time rinsing her hair. Also with the time of year, she could have mosquito bites or something. Check closely, sometimes the small bites itch the worst and are the hardest to see.

  • Not that I think it is, but our youngest got some lice from a neighbor's dog, and we didn't know about it until he scratched and scratched his scalp. Even then it was hard to see. So just in case- take a magnifying glass if necessary and check for tiny white things on the hair near the scalp.
