Question about Ameriplan

What does Ameriplan plan on doing if the government provides an insurance plan at an affordable rate for all citizens? Clearly, this is something that would interfere with business. If someone could get an insurance plan for less than the cost of Ameriplan and pay out less to their doctors as well, what is Ameriplan going to do?

  • As far as the original question..........Ameriplan offers supplemental healthcare, therefore it can still be used WITH traditional insurance. And therefore, will still be around.

  • I don't think Ameriplan will last long anyway... it is a pyramid scheme and the only people who make any money with it has already made it when the company first began. Just like Amway, the money is made by talking others into joining under you, not by providing a good or service that keeps the income going. Your income and position in a pyramid plan is dependant on keeping others in the pyramid. Once they wise up and get out, you start to lose your income and position.

  • AmeriPlan is NOT a pyramid scheme, if it were, then they wouldn't be as big as they are and they can't be in business. A pyramid scheme is ILLEGAL! And for all of you people who are unclear about pyramid schemes, here is the definitions: A pyramid scheme is a non-sustainable business model that involves the exchange of money primarily for enrolling other people into the scheme, often without any product or service being delivered.

Ameriplan DOES have a product that is delivered. It's called supplemental healthcare. And people use it everyday. Also, if it were a pyramid scheme it couldn't be around for 17 years and companies like Walgreens, Target, Walmart, CVS, etc wouldn't back us. So get your facts straight before saying something ignorant.

  • Hmm, I have nothing against Ameriplan. I almost joined, but there are no doctors even close to where I'm at that work with Ameriplan. I was just curious, thanks Diva!
