so i called the office and the lady said it was fine and made a note wheni wouldbe in.

So, i had a bad check go back to the grocery store and i called them and askid if i could come in on the 10th of July to pay and pick it up. That i didn't want it to go to the district attorney's office. The girl at the grocery store said ok, that they would hold it there until i came in. So i thought nothing else of it until last week when i got the letter from the da's office saying it had been turned over to them and if not paid in 10 days, a warrant would be issued. So i called the office and asked them if there was anyway i could come in on the 10th and pick it up. The lady said yes and that she was making a note .. Isaid i just dont want a warrant to be issued, and she said it wouldn't. But i am still worried because of what happened at the store. That girl practically lied or didn't know what she was talking about. Is there anything else i should do?

  • Talk to the manager at the store. Get her name, record the date and time of the conversation and what was said. But the only way to ensure that you won't get in trouble is to pay it off now.
