ovulation calendar

Ok all of these ovulation calendars make it to where your perion only lasts 5 days, well i've been on birth control until about a week or two ago, and my periods are always 28 days apart, but they last 8 days! So how am I supposed to know when i am ovulating, if all the ovulation calendars have it set to 5 day? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  • IT can be confusing. You don't go by 28 days every month. You document when you started your period and ended it ( if you really want to track then) it will ask the first day of your last period. It would be the last day and count from that point, but don't always go by the same calucation every month. another way instead of the calender is to see the signs of ovualtion. check to see if you have creamy cervical mucus around that time and be sexually active. If you just got off bc it can take up to 6 months for your body to regulate. so don't get discouraged if it doesn't happen right away. good luck to you!
