Is this legal or Right?

At this place of business men working there for 20 or more years are on A List.. The new smoshing* employee got out of the working shop to management. So he has all these great ideas to turn on his fellow employees/friends. So most of these guys have been laid off work 7 months or so. He advises they not be hired back since most earn being there over 20+ years a wage of $15.85. Plus have vacation. So they're trying to not hire any back. The Local Iron workers Union have not done anything to get anyone's jobs back! These man have given their best years of their lives to this company! Half of their lives or more!!! Is there anything they can do? They even have worked over time. While these men are laid off! Its so unfair! Its A horrible company. But these guys want work! Jobs they deserve! What can be done? Anything?

  • Can't they all get together with the union to complain? Maybe they can let the media in on all this. Sorry, I am not much help, but I know how unfair some companys can be.

  • Complain to the Union. If they don't do anything, the company isn't technically breaking any laws so there's not a whole lot you can do.

  • If they are over 40, they certainly have an age discrimination case and should contact the EEOC
