  • I never gave him rice cereal , have you tasted it? it's really gross., well to me at least, I gave him oatmeal instead at around 5 or 6 months, I don't know why everyone makes a big deal about the rice cereal.

  • I started at about 4 months. I buy rice flour, cook it with water, and after it thickens up, I add a little bit of unsalted butter and some breastmilk or formula, and whisk all of it together. It only takes about 2 min. to cook, and sometimes I add a little bit of pureed fruit I make too. My daughter really likes it. I do the same with corn flour, (not corn meal). I only use the instant cereal when we are out somewhere where I can't cook her food. I am from Denmark and over there, a lot of peole make their own baby food from scratch, including the cereal. It is cheaper in the long run, and healthier I believe.
