Is this a good breakfast for a 10 month old? Would you feed this to your baby?

This morning I fed my 10 month old DS Quaker Oats with applesauce and a half slice of whole grain toast torn into pieces.

Some mornings, it depends, he may or may not want a bottle.

The infant oatmeal is no longer filling. I also want him to get used to different food textures & taste. I also cooked the oatmeal with vanilla & cinnamon. (And no sugar.)

He seemed to enjoy it a lot, so I will feed it to him again. I was just wondering what you all thought & see what you are feeding your babies. Thanks.

  • I think that is a healthy breakfast. I wish my son would eat oatmeal. He hates the texture! I usually feed him scrambled eggs and fruit or a piece of whole-grain waffle with mashed-up fruit as the spread.

  • My kids were eating all table foods by 9 months, so I think it's fine.

Mine ate cereal, french toast, waffles, pancakes, toast, fruit, varying combinations.

  • I think that's a very good meal. Someone on here the other say suggested sausage for breakfast for an 8 month old. I don't think so.

  • It osunds like a great breakfast to me. It's better than the potato chips and dip I saw my friend feeding her kids the other morning.
