I need a good lawyer, please

I have tried everything. I am a mother of 3. My oldest daughter lives with her abusive father. In Feb. of thid year CYF contacted me saying that her father punched her in the head and he was found guilty of endangering the welfare of children, aggravated assult and harassment. I went to the courthouse the next day and filed for emergencey custody and i have been in and out of court so many times to count and my baby is still not home. I don't have alot of money to get a lawyer and everything is wrong without my daughter home. This is crazy that the judge allows her to stay there. I can't handle it at all. I am a very good mother as cyf verified this my home is nice and always, always clean. My children at home are very well taken care of as i have numerous good references from state people. I really would love if someone could help me out with this even just some good advice. anything would help. Help bring my baby home. ty

  • Yeah its pretty rough. I dunno why cyf didn't remove her. They said the extent of the abuse wasn't i guess bad enough. What the heck are they waiting for? I have contacted everyone. EVERYONE. And it makes no sence to me at all. My daughter told cyf that this was not the first time he hurt her either. He is very manuplating. EVIL EVIL man. Thank you so very much for the links.

  • If the court found him guilty, why hasn't she been removed by social services? She should have been removed that day. I would continue contacting CYF and the court to find out why they're allowing her to be in an abusive home. As for a lawyer, you can try these legal aid websites: http://wpalaw.org/general.phphttp://www.palegalservices.org/links.htm   -  http://www.palawhelp.org (click on the children and families).  Hope that helps.  Good Luck!!
