do you make and sell baby slings?

if so did you have to get a business license and liability insurance incase some dumby misused a sling you sold them? Do you have any other advice?

i am wanting to start a business selling slings and other stuff and selling them on the internet on a site i would make.

Any thoughts would be appreciated Thanks

  • It's definitely a good idea. I would talk to a lawyer with a background in business law before you do anything. Keep in mind, laws vary state to state and if you make more than $10,000 annually you need to file taxes.

  • I know lots of sling makers and I doubt they all have insurance. We have several on the cafemom street team http://www.cafemom.com/group/6632 feel free to join and ask any questions there but remember these type of questions are best left to legal experts :) Your best bet may be getting an LLC license :)
