Is the twisty-stick eyeliner considered pencil liner?

I've always wondered this. On every article I've read about eyeliner, they only mention pencil liner or liquid liner. So what's the eyeliner that twists up at the end and has a sharpener? Is it made out of the same stuff as pencil liner, but there's just no wood around it like a regular pencil?

  • Yeah, it would fall into the pencil category. Think of it as "Mechanical pencil liner."

  • Yes it is.  You have pencil, liquid and my preferences cream or gel liners.  Pencils are in a pencil/ pen form.  Some are a lot smoother but they all are still considered pencils.
