How long should you bleed for after having your baby?

I had Braydon May 26th..... I'm still bleeding..... but it got heavy again- so I dont know if its my period or not.

  • I bled for most of the 6 weeks after I had my son in March. It would almost stop then I would bleed again.

  • I would talk to your ob. It is po=rolly your period. The first period after baby can be really harsh, almost as it was right after baby, but sometimes its not period but issue so call to be sure.

  • i bled for six weeks almost to the day. it would be light somedays and others it was like i killed a cow.

  • It CAN be up to 6-8wks...and the flow does vary. I only bled for 2wks, but a lot of women bleed for 4-6wks, it's normal, your body is just cleaning itself out.
    If you become worried about how much you're bleeding, call your OB.

  • I did for 6 weeks, stopped for one day which happened to be the day of my check up, and then got my period the next day.
