question for moms whos children have had toncils and adnoids removed.

My son had his tonsils and adnoids removed a weekago yesterday. He is fine during the day but at night he is waking up every 20 mins screaming and I have been giving him his pain meds every four hours. Is this normal?

  • His room may be too dry, use a vaporizer when he is sleeping. He could also be dreaming about the surgery and is not really in pain. Not sure if his behavior is normal or not, but you can always call the doctors office and talk to the nurse. Hope he is feeling better soon.

  • I would make sure he has a humidifier in his room.
