  • Gerber has a wonderful selection of foods for young children who lack the ability to tear the food very well. It is somewhere between adult food and baby food. Shredded meats also work very well. There not quite the chunks so no worry about choking but it's real food.
    Spaghetti is also good.

  • i have a ten month old and i feed her just about everything now. her favorites are avacados, bananas, cheese, pears, bread, hotdogs(the organic ones), cereal bars, mac and cheese. i also give her a little bit of whatever we are having for dinner. i just make sure it is chopped up well, almost mushed.

  • Anything you are eating (within reason, no peanuts, citrus or honey and I think a few others) just mashed and smashed! My 10 month old LOVES pieces of bagels, egg yokes, pickles diced up real small...just about anything now! :) And be ready for the funny faces! Something have fun (different!) textures and it's fun to experiment! Remember it takes LO's I think 8-10 tries of a food to decide if they actually hate it! Have fun mama!

  • Lets just put it this 10 months my DS was eating at the local Mexican Buffett. His plate usulaly had a cheese enchilada with red sauce, beans, some spicy potatoes n'eggs , cheese, and a piece of tortilla. LOL!

Basically, anything you are eating they can try at this point. Meats like steak and such they'll of course need more teeth for, but we pretty much gave my son anything we ate at 10 months.

All the suggestions above sound good. Here are some of mine:

Any fruit- canned mandarins are my sons favorite
Most veggies- my son has always loved green beans
pastas, mac n' cheese, spaghetti, canned raviolis etc.
hamburger, chicken patties (anyth cing with that consistency
    Cheese quesadillas

and lots lots more.........just try everything, They'll let you know if they aren't ready for it. Just remember to keep reintroducing the food. If they don't like greenbeans this week, try again next week.

  • Pretty much anything that you can mush against the roof of your mouth with your tongue with minimal effort can be gummed by a baby. We did a lot of cooked veggies, softer fruits, pastas, and we started the Gerber graduates at about that age. She was so done with baby foods. We tried beans, but she didn't like them. She ate cottage cheese, yogurt, applesauce, mashed potatoes, ground turkey and beef. And like Nika75 said, just keep trying to introduce a food if she doesn't seem to like it.

  • My 10 month old LOVES any table foods! Cottage cheese, yogurt, graham crackers, chicken, hamburger, bread, pasta, turkey and cheese bites, cooked carrots and green beans, cereal bars, mac and cheese... the list goes on! I rarely give her any baby food anymore, just little bits of whatever we are eating! Let your baby try different things! Just be sure you stay away from the danger foods (honey, eggs, peanut butter, etc.) until she is old enough!
