Trying to Conceive: Does taking prenatal vitamins help with conceiving?

    Yes, it can help improve your health if you have a terrible diet. Poor health can prevent pregnancy.
    Yes, it can help prevent some defects early on that will cause the embryo to miscarry.
    No, it can harm your health if you are already healthy - too many vitamins can harm you though most people don't know it.

    Make sure you are getting enough folic acid and eat a decent diet. That's the best thing to do.

  • No, but it's a good idea to start taking them before you get pregnant so your body is ready to give your fetus everything it needs in early development.
