Downloading music on the ipod

Besides itunes, where you have to pay, is there a "legal/free" website to download music?
My daughter just got an ipod for her B-day and I was wondering what your teens use!

  • I just upload the cd's that I have to my computer then to my player. I'm sure there are pirating sites you can go to but it's not worth the fine if caught imo. Songs are only 99 cents. I'd rather pay the buck than hundreds for an attorney. Sorry, jmo

  • p.s. maybe her friends who have cds she doesn't own could share them with her so she can add them to her player.

  • If it is free, chances are that it is not legal. Starbucks has one or two free downloads every week at their stores.
