what are the odds?

what are the odds that endomitriosys (spelling) could go undetected throughout pregnancy, delivery and the follow up appointment? i have cervical and abdominal pain during and after intercourse and when i looked up endomitriosys and i have alot of the symptoms including the cervical pain. any other ideas of what the pain could be? i didnt have it before i had a baby (9 months ago). thanks!

  • From what I understand pregnancy usually makes endometriosis better not worse. I say usually.
You could be having gall bladder issues, a bladder infection, or something else entirely. Or it could be endometriosis. Go see the doctor for a workup. Make sure to let them know ahead of time what is going on and insist on a pee culture for bladder infection.

  • i have endometriosis, and as pp said, the symptoms are better or absent during pregnancy. i also found that my symptoms were better while i was nursing, but that probably is just an individual thing. i think the major thing that leads dr. to suspect endometriosis are extremely painful periods, heavy bleeding and some women are extremely hairy or it can also cause infertility. usually it is worse when you are younger (like first getting your period) and diminishes as your hormones decrease for menopause. i would make a specific appointment to discuss it with your ob/gyn. it maybe could be an infection or some kind of pain left over from childbirth? hope you feel better thou
