im going on a diet what things should i eat

what things should i eat? when i cook meat how should i cook.. i need to loose 30lbs im going grcery shopping today so what R things i should buy

  • Avoid white sugar, flour, and heavy carbs. Do whole grain breads and pastas, beans, etc. Skip the red meat and buy fish and chicken and turkey. Eggs, low fat cheeses, yogurt, fruits and LOTS of veggies. One of my favorite things is a salad of baby greens, with salmon, asparagus, avocado and a bit of goat cheese. Bake things rather than frying them, snack on veggies and things like nuts rather than cookies or crackers. Drink plenty of water.

  • The ever so lovely dieting. =) I have danced and played sports for years, which some required me to diet often especially with dance, and with all the diet it's easy to find that the whole low calorie and no carb diets only work for so long and get you so far. Honestly they get boring after a while. Maybe after a month! But if you are disciplined and can cut out a huge amount of sweets and sugars consume then hey, you've made step one progress. Turn away the fried and go to the smoked or broiled. For instance instead of fried chicken go for baked, instead of fried fish go for something more calm, but good at the same time like a baked salmon. Try the technique of broiling. Grilled and steamed vegetables and rice are a good way to go. On salads buy the fat-free, reduced fat or light, it's the way to go. And most important thing is not to forget to find an exercise program that you enjoy doing. Fun is the ultimate successor of

  • losing weight and cutting calories. Call or visit local health gyms/centers and ask to have a tour and inquire about the classes that they offer. For instance if you like to dance try something like Zumba, if you like to be centered with thought and have good... actually perfect balance try something like Pilates or Yoga! =) You'll do it, I believe you can achieve whatever you set your mind to.   • Diets are temporary fixes. Unless you learn how to eat healthy for life, you will not be able to maintain a healthy weight and will stay on the gain/lose roller coaster. Drink at least 8 8oz glasses of water every day. Eat 6-7 servings of whole grains (brown rice, whole grain bread, etc.) every day. Eat 7-8 servings of fruits and vegetables every day, in at least 3 different colors. You will lose weight. You will maintain a healthy weight. You will get sick less often.
