10 month old and early-morning nursing

My daughter who's turning 10 months wakes up at 5:30 like clockwork, but if I go in there and nurse her she goes right back to sleep for 1 1/2 or 2 hours. Other than that she's not nursing at night. I'd like to skip this feeding because I don't think she needs it, she's just used to having it, but I'm afraid that will just mean she's up for the day at 5:30 ... any suggestions?

  • Does a 10mo really have anything but "needs"?

Breastmilk is still her primary source of nutrition at this age, so I'd say she needs it.
