  • I have a spell checker on my browser, so I usually just check the words that are highlighted and do a quick read through.
I do occasionally still have mistakes, if I am in a real hurry.

  • Spell check and a quick single proof read.

  • I always do, but spellcheck does not catch when I misspell a word, but use another letter that makes the wrong word, a correctly spelled word instead. Did you get my understanding? LOL

  • I usually just do a quick glance over what I've written. Sometimes a mistake gets missed. I figure it's nothing compared to much of what you see on here.

  • I have the automatic spellchecker on my computer. Yanno, the one that puts a red squiggly line under anything that's misspelled. Sometimes it misses things. Good thing my grammar is correct about 75% of the time.

  • teachermom i do know what you mean. i'm really obsessive about posts, i usually proofread them 3 or 4 times at a minimum. not only for spelling errors, but for sentence structure, flow and coherence as well. if i find i'm not satisfied i usually just end up deleting it instead of posting.

  • it depends on my mood. Sometimes I do. Sometimes I don't. I have proofed some of mine after I hit the button to submit and found errors. Then I do a quick cut & paste, fix the error then submit and delete my first one.
Even with errors I'm sure the message itself is basically conveyed. I'm a teacher and think communicating the idea is far more important than grammar.

  • sometimes I will read through and catch my mistakes but most of the time I don't care as long as they get the point
