  • i used A&D at EVERY change, and she didnt even get a rash until around 9 months, but only because she had a yeast rash due to huggies diapers.... I think we did really good

  • Only when the rash comes. I don't want his tooshie to become "immune" to the creams.

  • My doc said the creams that act as water barriers do nothing at all unless there's already a rash in place. I'm not sure what kind of ointment you use... but I don't think there's a need if there's no rash. I just try to use wipes that are free of perfumes and stuff, to prevent irritation, and keep those diapers changed!

  • Never. I have used it maybe twice when a rash started to show. He has only had a rash twice. I used breastmilk the first time, which worked wonders. The second time I used the ointment from Bert's Bee's.

  • thankfully dd never had one, proably because after each change i applied (bag balm, & zinc) i mix the two, bag balm says it's used for cows breast (yes cow's breast) but that stuff has same ingredients as a&d ointment! it's safe and i use that, ofcourse frequent diaper changes, never leave in b.m, soak in tub to sooth, and then let air dry, some diapers rashes get so bad they need a doc's script to clear up. also let air dry, leave diaper off for awhile.

  • i usually only put it on at night since I know he will be in a wet diaper til morning. Sometimes if we are going to the store for a while I might also, cause ya never know if you are gonna be able to change right away.
