  • Mad Libs, Frisbee, Foam Football, sports bottle, giant towel, a journal, a disposal camera and a photo album/autograph book, the game Twister, maybe a DVD, small electronic hand held games,

  • First, find out from the camp what is and is not allowed to be sent. Some of them have policies about that to prevent jealousy, theft, etc. Also, some items are asked not to be sent because it causes issues with homesickness.

Don't send food, candy or gum. More than likely that'll just cause arguments (or worse, BUGS!) in the cabin.

I also wouldn't recommend sending toys or any expensive items because there's too much possiblity of loss, damage or theft. Not to mention that he may very well be too busy to use them.

Postcards, stamps, stationary, envelopes, pen/pencil, are all great items. So is a disposable camera.

Comic books, a book to read at night, extra batteries for flashlights (which he may have been sent up to camp with), maybe a compo book for him to take notes or sketches in.
