  • Yes and No. Only God can convert someone, meaning I can't argue someone into the kingdom. And I need to respect people's rights to thier own beliefs, and respect them as people because they are special and they were created in God's image. No matter what they believe.

But Jesus did say, "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit," Matthew 28:19

We are to just go around and share what we believe in love and if anyone wants to accept the Lord then GREAT. But if not, we should not insult them and be rude : )

  • Cinnamon gave a good answer. Yes, it's in our scriptures to spread the word.

But like cinnamon said, it's more like inviting people to have their own personal conversion between them and God. If they're not ready for that at the time - then it's live and let live, and still treat everyone with love and dignity.

  • Yes we are to go out and spread the word of God. But as far as converting that is up to the person. If they allow God to touch their heart then great, but we did nothing but plant a seed. God is the one who cared for that seed and nourished it so that it might have a chance to grow.

  • The Bible tells us to spread the word about the Good news of Jesus' salvation to mankind. But only the Holy Spirit of God can strengthen someone to {convert} to follow God and His Way. That is why Scriptures tell us that no one will be able to say they have not been told the Good News of God and His Son.

  • Yes and no .. It says to preach the gospel to the world but it also says make disciples of all nations... discipling happens after conversion.

  • I agree with Cinnamon-mom as well. Good answer. We're suppose to spread the word, not force it on anyone.
