Hell yes! Its illegal to shoot them in the city here, but behold my neighbors are shooting them like crazy. What REALLY gets to me is knowing they will not come over and clean up the mess their fireworks leave behind in my yard.

i don't have a problem with fireworks 'around' the 4th. i love watching them! in fact, some were going off not too far from our house, within sight beyond a tree-line couple houses away, and i let our 4yo stay up to watch them. he was so excited! besides, tomorrow's saturday, there's no working, and he'll have to have a schedule soon enough, for life. so what's a few nights in july?
