Helen thomas.....holy crap!

This may have posted, I haven't been on in a couple days. Did you SEE this?

Can you believe it. Even if you love Obama you have to admit to alot of media bias. Yes, you can scream fox loved Bush...that one station. All the rest and the print media have been kissing administration butt. This is great! What do you girls think? Sign of some change?

  • Saul Alinsky taught two generations of American leftists to use ridicule to avoid honest debate. It was clearly realized that if their goal of amassing power was ever openly discussed, they would lose the argument - and they would lose their following among citizens.
In Rules for Radicals, Alinsky argued that the most effective means are whatever will achieve the desired ends. And his ideas have been openly acknowledged to be the guiding principles of the "community organizing" movement.

Gibbs is just using the ridicule gambit to avoid the question. Be on the alert: take note EVERY time you see one of these guys - including Obama! - laugh at a question or an objection being raised. When ridicule is being used to escape an awkward question, recognize that you are being snowed, and zero in on just what that particular question was ... it'll probably prove to be a very important issue.

  • Gibbs is grinning throughout the whole thing like it's some sort of entertainment to him.

He didn't answer a single question except to say in essence, if you have a question, email it. Huh? Why call them Town Hall meetings then? The very term conjures up the vision of an open forum of questions and answers.

What Gibbs is endorsing is nothing more than a crib sheet (cheat-sheet) meeting.

Transparency is just another "buzz" word.

  • Gibbs looks and acts like he is high on something. He doesn't really answer any of their questions. He smiles a lot and talks a lot, but doesn't really say anything.

  • One comment Gibbs said was about the public I laughed and said are you kidding me? A 2nd grader could tell you who the public is

  • I love Alinsky. Yes he had goals to help the little people achieve their goals. Helping those in run down public buildings be able to get money from their local bank to fix up their neighborhood and make it more viable is not such a bad thing. In fact it is a great thing. I am so bored when someone who doens't know and have studied or read Alinsky puts his peaceful organizational methods down.

  • now the press is challenging the idea of planned town hall meetings?

Where were they from 2000 to 2008?

  • No kidding, anon :25. I remember the same thing with both Bush and Cheney. Not to mention all of McCain's town hall meetings..

    Then refute these allegations....

One of the three lucky audience members whom Obama chose for questioning was Jason Rosenbaum. Rosenbaum works for the Washington, D.C.-based Health Care for America Now (HCAN).

Another one of the three, softball-tossing citizen questioners at the White House forum identified herself as a member of the Service Employees International Union. That’s the same SEIU whose president, Andy Stern, boasted of spending nearly $61 million in members’ dues to elect Barack Obama.

Debby Smith, however, is no ordinary patient. While she may be “unemployed,” she has been rather busy working for the Obama campaign – as a volunteer for Organizing for America.
