  • She chews on it pretty much because it's there. :-) She's a lucky baby to have come equipped with such an interesting, tasty, and mobile toy to explore, play with, and chomp on. What she's doing is totally normal and nothing to worry about. If there's one thing I can tell you for sure about my two children is that they both had completely different behaviors in every way, my son wasn't big on putting things in his mouth, my daughter taste tested everything from her hands to the dog's ear...THAT was a fun couple of seconds.

  • Don't worry, it's like a pacifier, but with their hands and fingers. My son does the same thing, he'll be 3 months on the 9th. He always has something in his mouth, whether it's his snuggle bear, his fists, his fingers, or my shoulder (when I'm holding him). Doesn't matter if he's full or really hungry, he just always sucks on something. It's normal, and I doubt she's teething.

  • She COULD be teething..or she could be using it as a measure of comfort. Does she use a paci? My DS wouldn't take a paci, but would suck on his finger...he also likes to take his sippy spout (we use a soft one) and will suck on that but still won't take a paci.

  • She is self soothing. I've seen pictures of babies in wombs doing the same thing. It's so cute.
