  • Lay him/her on a thick blanket on the floor and place a few small toys on the blanket with baby. A rattle, stuffed animal, etc. Bright colors attract baby's attention. Sit on the floor by the blanket and talk to and play with baby. They will love it!

  • No suggestions. Mine always slept on their tummy so they loved tummy time.

  • I lay down next to my daughter when she is on her tummy. Talk to her, show her the toys, read her a book, rattle the rattles, and so on...

  • They don't like it when they do not sleep that way. Mine screamed so I did not do it much. My kids lifted their heads up to look around when I held them. Then they rolled over. Once they could roll over, they did not mind being on their stomachs.

  • I would lay on my back with my legs at a 90 degree angle, then lay my baby tummy down on my shins and rock them up and down gently, he liked the motion and it got him used to that position. Also, laying down on your tummy next to him usually helps. And, as stated previously, once he could turn over then he didn't mind because he knew he didn't have to stay that way.
But - front to play, back to sleep.
