Has anyone else felt awkard like this?

Today a friend of DH came round to see him before he went to work, DH went about 45 mins later but his friend didn't. I've known him a while and think he's an ok person but I felt really uncomfortable being alone here with him (plus DD). He left shortly after but I couldn't help feeling a bit creeped out!

  • I think I would be creeped out too. And I'm a social person, but I just don't think I would like that at all. I still get weirded out when alone with SO's family and we've been together for 4 years!

  • i see no problem with it. so long as his fiend doesnt try anything, i dont see why it would bother you.

  • Maybe he thinks he's a closer friend than you think he is. Trust your gut though....something makes you feel creeped...usually is.

  • Yeah, that's weird. I would ask your dh what he thinks.

  • That's how I feel when the drunk neighbor comes over and won't leave. He just drunk talks and sits on my couch.

  • Why didn't he leave with dh? I would have felt awkward too. Then again none of my x's would have allowed a man to stay there alone with me. It was dh's place to have him walk out with him, imo

  • Yes I would feel awkward. I've known my fiance's best friend just as long as I've known my fiance and I still feel weird sitting in a room alone with him. I just feel like we have to be saying somethign at all times cause I HATE awkward silence and not knowing what to talk about.

  • Either he's checking you out for DH or he thinks since his friend got you that he can too. Sorry. Trust your instincts and if there is a next time show him the door.
