  • whichever one you feel more comfortable with. If you are highly self-motivated then go with the online thing, if not then the meetings would provide a support group for you.

I have a friend who has been doing weight watcher's for almost 2 years now. She goes to the weekly meetings && she has lost a ton of weight.
    good luck!!

  • If you simply looking for a good plan, online would do it for you, esp. if you don't have a baby sitter, or don't have the time to regularly go to meetings. But, if you need that interaction, the hurrah's and encouragement to keep going, the meetings might be best.

Maybe ask someone if you could start online, and then switch over to the meetings without it costing you more. The online tools are good. And their food is good. Their desserts, when I need to splurge, are really good, portioned well, and leave you feeling satisfied.

  • Diets are temporary fixes. Unless you learn how to eat healthy for life, you will not be able to maintain a healthy weight and will stay on the gain/lose roller coaster. Drink at least 8 8oz glasses of water every day. Eat 6-7 servings of whole grains (brown rice, whole grain bread, etc.) every day. Eat 7-8 servings of fruits and vegetables every day, in at least 3 different colors. You will lose weight. You will maintain a healthy weight. You will get sick less often. You will be setting a wonderful example for your children. You can get free meal plans and recipes from Dr. McDougall, or find his books at your local library:
Eat an apple or a big salad before meals. Feel free to contact me if you have questions or would like meal suggestions.
